Is that the "service" light, or indeed the "check engine" light? The two other posts have given you accurate information on how to reset the former.

If it is the latter, the attendant may have disturbed the connector to the air mass meter (AMM) when checking the air filter. Check the connector to see that it is secured, and re-set the check engine light by momentarily pulling the #1 fuse (or whatever fuse protects the circuit to the fuel injection system and ECU).
