As Lee said, see some receipts, but a truly rebuilt engine including a valve job, would be worth $800, especially if a new cam of any kind was installed. That should get you 80,000 trouble-free miles, probably more.

I rebuilt my B18 correctly and with extra goodies, I would sell it for $2800 with the super SUs.
