No Start Problems? Read This.... 200 85

As most of you know, I've been using this board all weekend to attempt to fix my no-start problem. I checked all the usual suspects: 25amp fuse, fuse box, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, etc and then some. I finally just gave up and had it towed to the mechanic and had planned to take the train home to Portland (from Seattle). Well, the mechanic (Douglas) found and fixed the problem within 5 minutes.

What was it? It was a bad electrical connection on my air mass meter. He pulled it off and then plugged it back in and the car started like new. I had the air mass meter replaced a few months ago and I hadn't had any problems with the new one at all, so naturally I didn't suspect it. So all you "no start" people make sure you make this connection one of your first checks -- it's simply, fast, and free. It can save you a lot of hunting around. Pull the plug off and see if the car starts, if it does, then that connection is your problem area. Clean the both the male and female leads with a wire brush, and perhaps tighten the female leads with something sharp.

Thanks to the people at Northern European Auto Repair in Seattle for the free fix!!
