Literature:

"After three days of rain, watching the water drip into the bucket,

Philosophy:

Occam's razor - the simplest solution to a problem is usually the best one.

Reality:

After worrying about a vibration in my drive train, and becoming ill as it got worse, thinking about which stock I would sell to pay for the massive repairs, tonight I got under the car and tightened two loose driveshaft bolts, fixing the problem.
