Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did the conversion but used all the crap from the 82 that I took the M46 from. It had no buffer and a spring holding back the clutch fork. Do you have this large metal object with rubber in it on your clutch fork? It isolates vibration through the cable. I think I need to visit my dealer and look at a picture of the assembly because if my clutch cable is loose, stuff just flops around. My mechanic keeps urging me to convert to hydraulic as soon as I get the chance, maybe this is why. BTW: The cable clutch on my Gfriends 240 is MUCH nicer than mine.

So what you are saying is that, with time, the clutch pedal will rise above the level of the brake pedal?
