This thing has really been a poor purchase for me. The car in question is a 740-88 version with 230Kkm. Winter starting has always been a problem, consistent last year as well. Lets give the details.
Cold days, as in less the 32 deg fahrenheit, the car will start and then immediately start to flood out. After 10 seconds it dies and will not restart unless you clean the fouled spark plugs. Many of you would say to replace the temperature sensor. Nope, done it last year and it changed nothing. What I did do was install a connection in parrellel to the circuit so that a 400 ohm resister could be placed in parrellel. Works well, when the car fouls, insert the resister and crank. Motor usually catches within 10 seconds and bob's your uncle. It will run rough until you go out and remove the resistor from the connector.
While this works it's really irritating. So....I need some gurus that understand the ecu. Is there a way to adjust the resistance on the ECU board? I must confess I have not extracted the board to look at it, but figure go into this exercise with the knowledge under my belt.
Oh ya, the car seems to behave properly under all other temperature conditions.
