I have a 3.91 in my M46 245Ti. Mileage doesn't suffer all that much (I can get 25 mpg if I try). Good acceleration....

I would think a NA car with a revving cam and other mods would be great with a 3.91 rear.

OTOH, I seem to be turning into an old fart that just thinks of girls all the time (vs. young farts that think of girls AND going fast). I was always wondering how my beast would be with a 3.54.........
