Skip the firestones. Bridgestone owns firestone, they would be the better bet. You should be able to get them at the f/stone dealer at comprable prices,if you insist on buying at the f/stone dealer.
FYI , over the last 25 yrs. the brand name tires that I've seen have the most problem w/belt separation are; Cooper, Firestone, and Dunlop. Good year tires are ok, but have a tendancy to wear faster. Michelin, Bridgestone, and Perelli are good long life & handling tires. If you have an suv, Uniroyal Laredo's are a good long life tire. If you live in snow belt area's, Nokian Hakapalita's are a "Brick's" best friend. Bridgestone blizzak's are also a good choice, but wear faster than the Nokian's.
