Little to no engine vacuum at idle ??????? 700 1984

Just a thought if you've checked everything else (and I know this doesn't have much to do with the vacuum) but since idling is the problem, have you checked the Idle Speed Adjustment? It's a knurled screw and I'm pretty sure it is located directly below the intake manifold and throttle body housing. Or possible there is an incorrect air/fuel mixture that requires adjustment of your air mass meter. Or possibly your throttle body or linkage needs adjustment.
