Volvo 122s page updated, finally...

Yea, 14 mpg kinda stinks (literally) but I believe it was all float valve/float level/fuel pressure issues. Oddly enough, the pierburg pump that I was using was causing enough residual pressure to squirt quite a bit of fuel across the garage when I undid the line........a regulator solved that and boosted the mileage back up to where it was.

I feel as though I'm constantly fiddling with the car, changing stuff around to make it better. That's fun to me, and I don't mind the work. The end result is a car that will pull from 1200 to 7000 rpm without fuss. That's better than some of the modern (2000+) tuner cars that I recently tested for the magazine.
