Don't heat them with a torch.
You do have to have the pinch bolt complely out of the hole because it
goes through a groove in the ball joint pin. If it is a matter of the
pin being bigger than the hole in the spindle forging's clamp, a big
screwdriver wedged in the slot will open it a bit.
