Your definately doing the smart thing...that is, ask around, find someone who has done this before and slipstream their experience...but if you do wind up having to do a lot of your own design work, in the most recent Eastwood catalog (www. eastwoodcompany.com), I saw that they sell lightweight plastic (or foam) engineblock mochups...intended just for the purpose of trial fitting...no hoist required!...plus after your done with that, they make for cool decoration in your recroom!

That "Gumball" Amazon is/was in my area and as I recall, the front end was changed to that of a Mustang II (which apparently doesn't have a tight squeeze between the shock towers)...

Good luck with that project...and I hope you blow a couple rice-burners into the weeds for me when your done!
