Since your car is a wagon, the front rotors are already vented, right? Maybe not, I forget.

I may be way off, but I remember hearing something about this problem having to do with the old style steel wheels. What wheels are you using? I *think* that later style steel wheels, such as the ones on 84 240s, will provide adequate ventilation, and that some of the very early (70s) steel wheels may not provide the ventilation.

If you do have the later style steel wheels and/or vented rotors, I would go ahead and use the spoiler without too much worry. Might want to experiment with it and see when you start to get fade.

Dang, I wish I could remember exactly what the wheel ventilation issue was.
