I had wanted to put in braided hoses, but IPD said that the
ones for the 140 line were made with thread adapters which had
broken on 2 occasions so they stopped production. I got them
from smith volvo for $38 each, which I thought was a very
reasonable price. The master cylinder was expensive and I
wouldn't have gotten it there, but I was in a hurry.

As for the clutch -- as far as I know the 164 has only one
clutch / pressure plate setup. They said "Hey -- the 164
uses the same clutch disk as a 75 B20" to which I said "Are
you *really* *really* sure about that?" and indeed something
did go wrong, but they made the situation good. As far as
your situation goes I am pretty sure that the sachs and borg
setups are different where you need to use only parts from
one or the other setup. The last 2 clutch jobs I've done I
just got a whole kit because I didn't know what I had and I
also didn't know how many gazillion miles were on the beasts.

Good luck,
chris
