Nice feeling, eh?

Shortly after taking custody of a 144, I drove it to an independent swede shop for diagnosis. Turns out the problem was an easy fix. What earned them my respect and repeat business was an unprompted effort to look for additional problems and an effort to contact me with reasonable explanations of the problems and zero pressure to contract for the labor. Total bill: $175, mostly for parts. By the odometer, it looked as if she had been taken for a short spin (a bit longer than might have been required). That's OK. If a mechanic likes the car enough to comp labor... hey man, here's the keys.

The car continues to spread joy.
