distributor foolish problem 900 1991

Had to renew the distributor O rings so I took the distributor off. After this I remembered that the Haynes manual recommends making alignment marks between the distributor flange and the cylinder head.
I forgot. Is this going to be a problem? If so how does one solve this?
Regards, feeling a bit foolish.
