Anything tricky about changing shocks? 120-130 1966

Now you've got me wondering. You may be able to lower the shock attachment point, but I recall that it and the spring perch are integral. I'm going to have to go outside and peek. So anyway, definately avoid popping the ball joint if you can. In my book less work is better.
