Well I might be too nice, but I try to be fair and treat people like I want them to treat me, but that doesn't always happen. This is simply a case where the repair shop did their own thing to my car without my permission and still didn't fix the car after everything they did. I don't expect them to work for free, but they failed to follow my instructions given to me by the Carquest manager who was being a smart businessman by trying to make things right and picking up the tab for replacing the calipers. The shop did everything BUT replace the calipers. I have the Haynes and Bently books and was doing my own brake job when all this mess got started. I replaced both front calipers and lost my brake pedal. No one has been able to get it back and the front calipers are still on the car which is why Carquest offered to replace them after a Volvo dealer inspected my car and they suspected the front calipers were at fault. These were 30year Volvo mechanics. Unfortunately, Volvo wanted $600 to install Volvo OEM calipers which my reply was "no thanks".
