Where are the plugs (960)?

I hope this is not the dumbest post of all time. I had some dealer maintenance done on my 1995 960, including new spark plugs. Afterwards, I always look things over to make sure the work was done. When I went to check the spark plugs, I realized I could not find them! I can't even find the ignition wires!

I see there's a cover on the top center of the engine, removeable by torx screws. Are they under there?

So ... any ideas regarding an easy way to confirm new spark plugs were installed?

Thanks (and please don't laugh. I actually do change my own oil and filter!)
