AMM / MAF 4v Burn-off Cleaning Cycle

Art- Thanks for the thorough response. I'm actually looking to use this meter in a non-Volvo application, so I want to set up a manual means of activating the burn-off cycle. So are you saying it switches internally to 2.7v regardless of whether I apply 4, 5, or 12 volts to that input pin?

I wouldn't figure to manually execute the burn-off cycle while the motor is running, but it sounds like I DO need to make sure the key is in the "on" position so that the relay powering the meter is supplying 12v, correct? Re-stated, for the burn-off cycle to properly function, I need to supply 12v to the meter IN ADDITION to some non-critical voltage to the burn-off circuit.

Thanks again,

Brad
