Curious problems

Ok thanks for the info on the A/C I will try to track down the circuits. No, I have not tried 12v direct yet. I ran out of time for the day. I will try it tomorrow. I find it very strange that it was working before I evaced the system and not after. I of course checked the area I was working in to see if I "bumped" a wire but everything is ok.

Boy you got me on the Idle screw! I couldnt believe it when I saw it. I will fix the A/C then pull the throttle body and give it a cleaning then adjust the idle. There may be a surprise waiting for me though. Someone did that for a reason or didnt know what they were doing. Thanks for the info on counterclockwise to increase. I will let you know what happens.

One good thing, while working on the A/C i spotted several small holes in the airtubing from the AAM to the throttlebody and sealed them off.

I have over 20 years experience in automechanics, but have never worked on a Volvo. I can say that I am having fun solving these problems. The car is really neat and I am amazed at how much torque the engine has. Even after 207000 miles it is going strong.
