Quickie wheel/tire question 140-160 1972

Hmm...well...no, probably doesn't help a whole lot. I actually have 205/70-15s on my 1800 with 7" wheels. Works fine there, but the 140/160 is a different animal.

But...what do you mean about "rolled around alot"? Is that to say it was unstable in corners (tires rolling under)? Or was that to say it wasn't good about holding a straight line? Either way, I'm not too worried about it. The 164 has power steering, so I expect it will hold a straight line better than some with wider tires, and I'm not building a hot-rod, so I'm not too worried about the tires rolling under when cornering. My fast driving days are long since past I'm afraid. Scary since I ain't even 35 yet...

I just want max clearance with no inner or outer fender clearance problems... I'm kind of leaning towards the 185/75-15 actually. I think that would be a good compromise....and with the inconsistancy from different manufacturers, I can probably find such a size taht is closer to a 195/70. We'll see.

Thanks though, and other suggestions are appreciated!

-Matt
