I've got an '86 740T to take care of. My sister just called me to give her a jump start when the car would not start for her in a parking lot. She'd driven it a short distance, gone in the bank, and when she came out the car cranked but did not start. A few minutes later it started without a hitch. When I followed her home the car had a very fast idle, around 2000 rpm(can't tell for sure since the tach hasn't worked for some time).
Some weeks ago in traffic I noticed a high idle, but the problem went away quickly. Don't you love intermittent problems?
Any ideas?
