700 series vs. 200 series

We recently upgraded(?) from an 83 240 wagon to an 87 740 wagon and have liked the increased space. Both cars produce very low driver fatigue - I used to get tired of driving our minivan in about 5 minutes. The 240 handled like a dream despite having worn out rear suspension parts (trailing arm bushings). The 740 does not seem to corner as well but I should reserve judgement until I replace the front strut inserts. The 240 has an amazingly tight turning radius - a couple of feet smaller than the 740 I think. I test drove an 89 740 and did not like the driving position at all. Maybe the seats were worn out. The 740 seems to have a more robust rear suspension. Both are easy to work on.
