700 series vs. 200 series

I never found any problem adjusting the seats in either a 240 or a 700. I have to adjust them all the way up to see far above the dashboard, though, in both models. The 240 gives the impression of sitting upright but it's really the low door sill for entry and the severe windshield angle. The 700 has higher rocker panels and door sills, and the combination of the windshield and A-pillar angle, combined with the height of the seats and how you enter the car, gives you the impression of sitting in a lower position.

The cars are basically very similar speaking from a mechanical standpoint. Suspension is different, but not hugely so.

I've had several of each. Working in a shop, I can say with quite a bit of experience, that they both have their strong and weak points. THe 700 is slightly more refined than the 240. Less wind noise, better ventilation system.

The 240 is more of a utilitarian car, with a few less appointments. I'd say the 700/900 are more luxury oriented. The 240 is a fantastic car, however. With a few minor additions the car is great to drive, but better on smooth highway than anything else. Either is a good highway car in my opinion, in different ways.

Supposedly the 240 has as much cargo space as the 700, but I'm not the pocket protector/scientific calculator type. Someone might be able to comment on that more accurately.
