No power to A/C compressor 700 1992

Thanks John! The Chilton Service Manual says that if the switch light goes out I should change the PCB ?? But they doen't tell what PCB stands for? Is this the same as the CCU (climate control unit)?
Also. will the air work if I manually switch the compressor on and off (by installing a toggle switch) and working the fan manually? Small inconvenience for a big price switch! Thanks... epurmals@csolve.net
