gunk in TB question 700

You said you had 1/8" of gunk in your TB. I am curious if you had any gunk on the inlet or weather it was all downstream of the tb butterfly valve. The reason I ask is because I had the hose off the throttlebody today. looked inside and it was clean as heck, but I didn't look past the butterfly. Thinking it may have paid off to open the valve by hand when I was in there snooping around.
