Faulty FPR? 700 1988

Hi JChiodi,

Thank you for your response and cluing me in on the fuel pressure regulator! I did check the connections and they seemed fine. However, I read in the FAQ archive under the following headings that during idle, if you pull the vaccuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator, the RPMs should increase:

Engine Tune and Performance; Symptoms:

Slight Hesitation on Acceleration; Several Diagnostic Checks


I tested that, and there was no effect. I think my next step is to replace the FPR and see if that improves the idling. I will post again with the results.
