Charging System 700 1987

Test your alternator on a test bench. Test your battery. Check all the wiring. Use a voltmeter on the battery, 13.5V min. running above idle with all loads on, max. 14.5V. I have not seen this combination of symptoms, but nearly all my customers who bought rebuilt units only needed a new voltage regulator, which screws in the back of the alternator. Wayne
