A fuel injected 1987 240? I would believe the idle spec should be about 900-950 rpm. So your car may be a little high but it's not way off. Do you know what
kind fuel injection your car has. The LH injection has a thumb screw on the
lower side of the throttle body. The K-jet injection has a thumb screw under the
intake manifold for idle speed adjust. Make sure there aren't any broken vacuum
hoses anywhere. That can speed up the idle.
