Preventative Maintenance ?'s 700 1990

As stated with the FAQ section on high mileage 700's. The only thing I would change is the brush/voltage regulator pack for the alternator. I think it is $60-$65 for the part. Takes a total of 5 minutes to replace. Although the voltage regulator is probably fine the brushes are probably worn down a good bit. As far as over hauling it goes, wait till it starts making noise. My alternator has 269,000 miles on it and all I did was replace the brush/voltage regulator unit at 200K. Glad I did because there wasn't much left on the brushes.
