B230F Flywheel sensor or No Flywheel sensor 700

This engine swap is actually quite easy. Your 1988 car has LH 2.2 Jetronic. I don't know what you bought, other than it is a B230F.

The distributor is easy to swap. First, remove the Hall effect sensor wiring by pressing in on the wire retaining clip for the Hall effect sensor and pulling the connector off. Don't pull too hard without releasing the wire retaining clip, or you will pull that old Hall effect sensor wiring connector oout of the distributor and you will have to repair that. For similar connectors and wire retaining clips, look at both the Idle Air Controller and the Throttle Switch. Once the Hall effect connector is removed, remove the two 10 mm bolts and twist the distributor back and forth until it comes out. If the distributor is still in the car, you will need to remove the cap for clearance to get it off.
