Car run better when unplug the air mass meter...

Dear All,
The car run rich with lot of smoke and eat lot of fuel per km.
So I try to check the fuel regulator by pull of the vacuum hose. I see some small change in idle RPM and not smell any leaking gas. So the FPR should still good.
Next, I read out the error code found 1-2-1 and 1-1-3.
I try to clear the error code and restart again but these code still come up again. Suspect that my AMM may be bad. Then I try unpluging the AMM connector seemed that the car run better with lower black smoke. The fuel consumption improved a little. As I see from many web say that if AMM is gone, the car can not run so good. Differ from mine, run fine upto 160 KM/H RPM up to redline is reachable.

So is it my lucky. !!!???
Should I buy a new AMM.???
