Unsolvable Problem 900 1991

Just a few things to check that come to mind before you go spend bucks on another brain.

1- Could the timing belt have slipped or been installed a notch or two out of whack?

2-I know you said the intake hoses were tight but I swore that too when I checked over mine awhile back. Unless you pull them off and look at the insides, you can easily miss a hole on the bottom of the hose close to the attachment necks. Oil seepage from the turbo can eat away at the rubber and destroy the hose from the inside out.
