engine knock in my V6 700

well, the problem is i got layed off a month ago and i have just been draining my bank account nad i realy can't afford to have it fixed, @ next oil change i'll switch.
also, does any body know if i can swap the hall affect sensor from a 4 cyl into a 6 cyl? my hall is dieing fast!
