sunroof seal adhesive?

1983 240 factory sunroof.the seal that fills the gap between the deck and the opening to the outside.i purchaced this part from dealer,who has no glue or clue as to how to attach it.basically it's piping w/black felt wrapped around it the old stuff appeared to have double stick tape.i only want to do this once.anyone been there? thanks
