Chris,
That 's pretty much what I've discovered through my discussions with Volvo. However, my "southern' car, that is void of the winter package (i.e, no heated seats, ambient temp guage, and ALD) does have the heated side mirrors! Now how confusing is that?

BTW, I still can't believe that retrofitting seat heaters would be THAT hard. I mean, the do break don't they? How do they repair or replace one that has failed, especially the seat heating element.
