Amendment to old locking diff statement 900

Brian has advertized in the brickboard classfieds in the past. He is absolutely the best. Not only does he know his stuff, but the prices are right and he stands behind what he sells.

When I get my regular computer back on line (dead Soyo motherboard), I will try to scan and send you information on the Check Corporation. Their seat heaters are every bit as good as Volvos. All you would need are Volvo seat heater swithes, and the custom seat heater pads from Check, and you would be good to go. I must tell you that installation of seat heater pads requires some hard work, and disassembly of the front seats and the use of hog ring pliers to re-fasten the upholstery. I have done it quite a bit, but some may be intimidated by the process.

I have never heard that the padding was different between heated and non-heated seats. That doesn't make sense to me. Volvo has made the basic parts common as a general rule. The leather seats (with seat heaters) had a temperature limitng relay which the fabric seats did not have, although both types of seats had a temperature sensing element to cut off electricity when a certain temperature was reached.

Since your car is a 1992 model year, I think you have the Eaton LSD.
