just had the struts, bushings, shocks, catalytic converter, brake rotors, pads, brake hoses, batter, wiring harness, and started replaced on my 86 744gle at 194K miles.
The struts and bushings were $280, and another $235 labor (3.4 hrs) and $68 for the (required) alignment.
I'm not a DIY on cars, so the local 18-bay shop has had my business for about 10 years. i bought the 744 in 1991 when it had 60K miles. It's been a joy. After the above-noted upgrade, the performance is as it was when orignally purchased ... much tighter! i drive 125 highway miles daily at 75-80mph.
Leather interior is kinda shot, and i need a to replace the right front interior panel and the front l/r parking and turn signal units, but otherwise, the car is solid.
