As a former '71 144S owner, I have to say it would be a shame to part a decent body of an increasingly rare sort from its internal organs. You might enjoy owning it- I was very fond of mine, and only parted with it because of rust and lack of A/C after we moved south, sniff. What a great car; 105 mph w/no overdrive.
