Do research the archives. The small clocks are famous for stopping when the temperature drops, and the cure is to replace a capacitor inside. The newer clocks are supposedly easier to get apart; the older ones (like mine) have to have the case cut open with a Dremel or similar tool. My fix was a new CD player with digital clock display when the OEM cassette unit died.
