My continuing M41/J OD 120-130

John-

This is my OD problem and what I've done so far.

->The Problem:

Engages slow(~4 seconds)/runs fine when engaged(no slipping/no premature disengaging)/disengages normal(fast/immediately)

Sometimes 4th gear switch stays on when shifted out of 4th gear (I have a light that tells me that the OD switch is on)->The OD is still engaged in the down shifted gear(i.e.in third gear W/OD)-Disengages normally when using the main switch.

Sometimes the overdrive doesn't engage(checked and rechecked oil level).



->Work done(in order and checked after each repair):

Cleaned OD oil filter/cleaned oil added-OD ran the same.

Replaced O-rings/cleaned out ports-OD ran the same.

Replaced the solenoid-OD ran the same.



I was thinking it might be the control/relief valve system(third port.

Maybe I should bypass the 4th gear switch and check it out(I'll have make sure not to engage OD in reverse).
