Thanks, John. I'll give it a try again this weekend. The more I think about it, the more likely it was that the crank wasn't aligned properly. Since I don't have a timing light (Haven't needed one for over 23 years)I'll start over with your method. I'm betting I'll find that the crank isn't aligned at 11.
