When you figure this out, could you post the solution? I have similar problem, my 79 245 just quit running. Battery is strong, engine turns over fine, I have spark, I have fuel coming from cold start valve. I decided to take a look at the air flap, and found that it was taking about 3 seconds to drop after I pull up on the center bolt. I decided to change the entire fuel distributor and pressure control unit with one from a parts car that ran fine. after hours of cleaning the intake manifold, cleaning injectors, putting new seals on. put everything back on, and still no start. I put some marvel oil into the spark plug holes, just in case all of the gas from the starting attempts as making pistons lose compression. I'm wondering if timing could off enough to make it not start.
Tomorrow I guess I'll try the test where you pull the injectors, jump 5 an 7 fuses, then pull up on air flap. There should be a fule spray when you do this.
good luck on your problem, and please let me know if you find a way to solve it.
