Once you pull out the cam and all the old lifters you can
slide the new cam into place and then drop the new lifters
into place (they hit the cam instead of falling through to
the oil pan).

I've never replaced cam bearings. I've been told that it
is a major major pain in the ass. Lifters are not so bad,
though.
