I've always like that model Mercedes. Its was back before they were bulding 'luxury' cars - they were just building the best car they could. Those small bodies 240D's just seem to last forever, and the styling still looks neat as a pin.

If you want a more modern car the VW TDi is very neat. Just as quick as a regular 4 cylinder gas model and 50 mpg on the highway. The engine has 90 HP and 150 ft lbs stock (easily increased with little effect on mileage). I've often pondered how hard it would be to fit that engine into my PV.
