How long have you had your brick ?

Have had my 86 240GL for 2 years. When I bought it the dealer told me that he had one in his impound yard that I could have anything off of I needed for free. Paid $1000 for car.

Since then I have replaced:
Ball Joint Drivers side: From Junker
Radiator: $140
Clutch: $150 (Plus two weekends of my life)
Rear end bushings and shocks: $130
Alternator: From Junker
Heater fan: $35 (Plus two weekends of my life)
Coolant Temp sensor: From Junker
AMM: $15 Junk Yard

Misc tune up parts: less than $75

I have put more than 30K miles on the 240. The ODO did not work for a while ;).

My 86 740GLE Bought it on Ebay for $279 in July '02. Spent about a 2hrs getting the car to run and a week getting it to run well. Had to straigten out a lot of someone elses work.
Put a new Flange Gasket on the Exhaust. $2.89
Control arm busings: $25
Needs a new Cat but have not done it yet. Quoted at about $125.
Needs a new intrument Cluster: Speedometer only works when it wants to.

This car has gone at least 7-8K.

Brian
