What's normal oil consumption for B230F engine?

I just could not believe it when I read the TSB. I thought if my new truck burned 6 quarts of oil during the normal 3000-mile oil change. I would have demanded that someone do something about it. This was also around the same time that Ford had to recall a group of their trucks because they were burning 4 or 5 quarts of oil in a 500-mile trip.


Ford quality is job one!
Flipping the Explorer back on its wheels is job two!!
Extinguishing the fire is job three!!!
