Volvo has lost a 21 year customer

I have had great luck with my local Volvo dealer, Keeler Volvo in Colonie,NY. They were the ones I took the car to for retrofitting the A/C to R-134, and in 90 degree weather, the temp at the vent was 42. Not bad. I couldn't figure out why my electric locks wouldn't work, so I asked them to diagnose it, and they did - relay, a $60 part, which I ordered and replaced myself (easy).

I have used the dealer for the more complicated diagnostic things I can't figure out, and I take the car to my local "indy" guy who adores old Volvos and looks to me to be a dropped-out professor who had had it with the politics of the ivory tower. He does the things for me that I could figure out but don't have the time or tools to do, and charges me a very reasonable price.

I just don't think the dealer is the place to go for everything, and you have to be discriminating. It helps when you treat them courteously and make friends with them. The parts guys at Keeler are very good to me!
