ditto with steve

You have an excellent car. I always considered the dealer near my house a little shady. funny story; I bought thecar from the bmw dealer across the street from the volvo dealer. the service manager usedto work at the bmw dealer and had a grudge against the sales manager at the bmw dealer. long story short, he charged the bmw dealer $1000 for a tbelt job just to piss of the bmw sales manager. It was part of the deal when I bought the car from the beamer dealer that they would pay for a tbeltjob. I lost a little trust in the dealer though because of that.
ahhh, anyway. I don't think I would own this car if I couldn't work on it myself. I like do my own work because then I at least know who screwed up my car and how bad.
It doesn't make sense to take your old volvo to a dealer that probably makes most of its revenue from new car sales anyway. Of course theyre going to tell you that your car needs a forklift upgrade. Find an independant shop.

good luck - Nate
